Portage Road work widens to allow new route
An interview with portage road manager Joseph Allen notes the O R N L elect of way will be widened about 210 feet to admit the portage road for about 1090 feet. Forty men were at work yesterday and 12 today on the work at Nooise curve. Three months expected to complete this phase.
Grant County Sheep Report Details Stock Totals
Grant County Sherp Inspector George Irvin reports 17 100 head of sheep in Grant County as 2780 wethers 90020 ewes 2022 buck teat wid list bucks. He notes one flock owned by Tunle Swick Son of Hanlon with a few diseased bands dipped and that no sheep should leave the county without permit. The Columbia River range brings in many horses and lawmakers are urged to outline the stock list for pamphlet use.
