Influenza Serum 18 Trial Reported At St Marys Hospital
London researchers at St Marys Hospital Paddington have resumed work on a new influenza treatment using a sterilized squid serum of dead influenza bacilli injected hypodermically. The method, akin to glandular tuberculosis and acne vaccines, involves heat-killed bacilli and their toxins to trigger anti-toxins and healing. Promising results were seen last year, with renewed efforts this winter after a period of low flu cases.

Washington Supreme Court protects pioneer graves in Lewis county
Olympia residents celebrate as the Washington Supreme Court issues an injunction against John Hutchinson to stop plowing the Lewis county burial site of 40 Washington pioneers buried between 1864 and 1894. The court called the spot sacred and said desecration shocks moral sense, after fences crumbled in 1898 and gravestones were removed.
