Legal fence rules tighten construction east of Cascades
In Oregon the law requires fence posts six and a half feet long with four inch diameter posts set two feet deep and spaced no more than twenty feet apart. At eight foot intervals false posts four and a half feet high must be added. Three ordinary wires run from near ground level to a top wire forty one inches above ground.
