Within the past two months several shipments of range horses have been sent from Union and Baker counties into Tennessee. A Union county man, Clarence Prescott, has shipped the second lot and will stay until spring to break horses for the spring market. The note suggests others could participate to aid the effort.

Thomas Wilkinson longtime warden of Folsom penitentiary died at his East Oakland home this morning of heart failure after a weeklong illness following the Jan Summer outbreak. His health suffered in the weeks after the incident.
