American troops are reportedly to move to Berlin to protect shipments of food sent from the United States for distribution in Germany. The plan involves stationing troops to guard the supplies as they arrive and are distributed.
Heap Skookum claimed the top prize in a contest for Biydenstein's Pendleton hot breakfast flour. The $10 award goes to David C. Hull of Pendleton Cash Market if HH G Wiydenstein confirms no copyright or patent infringement. Another entry titled Shookum and a separate Big Chief honorable mention are noted.

Opposition centers on Pendleton Ashland and Umatilla County with several lawmakers voicing concerns. the library bill is set to come up next and the measure may pass the house with little opposition. A governor appointed committee delayed preparations for the bill’s trade needs and session timing.
