Authorities fear grave danger from the Siskiyou pass and may seek troops to aid hungry marchers reaching Dunsmuir for food and shelter while Ashland police report armed sections among the expedition.
Establishment of a rock pile in Fresno jail yard to oppose visiting Industrial Workers. Eight workers arrested for violating street speaking ordinance, ten convicted. Daily arrests average six. Total 105 industrialists in jail.

Representative Mann of Illinois led a one man filibuster to halt action on the omnibus war claims bill in the House with only eleven days left in session. The chamber sat from 10 a.m. to 8:25 p.m. as Democrats and Republicans sparred over procedure and quorum antics.

Survived by wife and three children. remains to be sent to Salem for interment.
