Two Men Drown In Yakima River Channel Incident
A double drowning occurred Sunday forenoon near Yakima City as Madoris Trembley and his brother Thomas Trembley, plus two Trembley sons, were in a small boat crossing a Yakima River channel. The river was high and swift. the boat capsized and all four fell in. The two younger Trembley men reached shore while the two older men disappeared downstream with bodies not yet found.

Carey School House Shooting Sparks Rural Feud
Sheriff Williams returned Friday evening from Carey with William Graham in custody after Graham shot James Campbell, a Carey school trustee, through the right lung when Campbell refused to allow a dance in the schoolhouse.
