In St Petersburg Premier Witte submitted his resignation as a royal crisis unfolded. A court scene saw the document torn by the emperor yet Witte remained in a pivotal role to handle the emergency. Concurrently, mutinies struck Sebastopol and Ekaterinodar with sailors and infantry taking control, while a telegraph strike loomed unresolved.
Andrew Goddard a local lumberman who bought 27 000 acres from Horace MekKintey is notified that his certificates are fraudulent. Goddard reports paying between 160 000 and 200 000 dollars. United States secret service men seek McKinley to answer charges. McKinley was among the three convicted in Oregon.

T A Campbell through attorney Dan B Smythe filed a suit on account against W Lofler to recover 222.3 percent of a claim dated October 13, 1905. The complaint states the plaintiff supplied 340 bushels of seed wheat to the defendant, totaling the asserted sum, and the suit seeks collection of that amount.
Riverside California Dee and Walter Cave were killed when Santa Fe train No 6 derailed after a towerman order to avert a collision with a Southern Pacific motor. Engineer McArdle was badly bruised and cut. Passengers escaped injury.
