Tunis Sheep at the World's Fair Exhibit
The sole Tunis sheep flock shown was Charles Rountree's Crawfordsville Ind entry. Descended from two Africa-imported animals via General William Eaton, the line survived voyage, bred in Philadelphia area, spread to southern states, dwindled, revived in 1890 in South Carolina, and now continues through the remnant line. Also notes about lighthouse power, Vancouver Island works, Lewie and Clark fair buildings due April 1, and a racehorse price spike.
