London parliament adopts a resolution by 349 to 134 to turn the budget over to the people. The decision carries the strongest disapproval from the lower house toward the Lords, signaling political tension between chambers.
London reports the national democratic league urging a mass gathering in Trafalgar Square on Saturday to protest the House of Lords rejection of the budget. The call declares the Lords have declared war on the people and urges action to end their perceived power. Parliament may be prorogued tomorrow afternoon, delaying dissolution until January. The budget debate resumes in the House of Commons.
New York December 2 Mrs C H Belmont today aided shirt waist workers in the strike by offering the Hippodrome for a mass meeting next Sunday She is expected to donate funds and the action could widen the strike to Philadelphia where 50 70 girls may be affected by the order.
San Francisco December 2. Army transport officers deny orders for troops to Nicaragua yet the big transports Crook and Buford are being overhauled for sea-going service. At the Presidio an undercurrent of excitement surrounds the possible mission and Nicaragua remains the topic of conversation.
Spokane Dec 2 The Cunningham con land hearing resumed by the federal court here focusing on testimony from Spokane entrymen including A L Campbell John A Finch and Arthur J Jones. The case is before Commissioner Fred T Dennett.

Liverpool reports Captain John Pritchard ends half a century at sea aboard the Cunard liner Mauretania while en route from New York to Liverpool. He began as a cabin boy at ten on the Walsh, then joined Cunard eighty years ago and rose to command the ship famed for transatlantic speed records.
Two Pendleton high school debate teams are formed to compete for state honors this year. The six regular debaters are Peter Crockett, James Hartwell, Arthur Jordan, Pansy Treland, Harvey McPherson, and Chester Fee with Elmer Dahlgren as alternate. Agn Francisco December 2 Captain Petey Figari is dead and Captain Nella Jesson narrowly escaped death when a 50 gallon gasoline can exploded sending the $5000 launch Nevada to the bay bottom. Figari was alone aboard preparing to take a passenger to a ship when the engine went out of control. Josten in another launch rushed to help. Jesson sprang aboard Nevada but heard the backfire and leaped to his boat as the explosion occurred. Figari went down with the vessel and his body has not been recovered.
Bakersville California December 2 armed posse hunts for Garrit after he killed Hamilton Proctor in a Little Lake store. Proctor died three hours after being shot when he refused to lower the candle price. A $200 reward is offered for Garrit's capture.
Whitman College faculty posted a notice today threatening to abolish football unless rules are modified to prevent injuries. The move follows injuries to Whitman players in the Thanksgiving game against Washington State College.
