Greater State Fair Opens September 12 at Salem
Salem Oregon August 20 The Great State Fair opens September 12 with new buildings landscape work and many additions. Dairying displays feature a model dairy barn by Paul V. Maris with Danish expert Dr Ferdinand Boeggild. A second livestock barn, Court of Honor improvements, and Spanish Paseo planting enhance grounds. Horse racing at Lone Oak Track promises fast times and record bids as machinery exhibits fill the hall. Water from a new driven well and expanded toilets improve health measures for visitors.
