A Word Picture of Wallowa Lake and Valley
A lyrical portrait of Wallowa Lake and Grande Ronde valley in northeast Oregon. The piece evokes the canyon, river, and forests, the Joseph and Elgin landscape, the old steam era route, and the distant Seven Devils. It laments industrial noise but crowns the scene as peaceful, scenic, and worthy of a Sunset Magazine feature.
