Pennsylvania Launch Heralds New Armored Cruiser
A grand launch at Cramp's shipyard christens the United States armored cruiser Pennsylvania. Miss Quay breaks the champagne, with Gov Pennypacker, Sen Quay, and Navy Secretary Moods in attendance. The vessel is praised as a speedier, powerful 22 knot cruiser with extensive armor, a large battery, electric ventilation, and advanced features, touted as a naval marvel.
