Fire at La Grande destroys multiple firms warehouses

A fire in La Grande at 1 oclock destroyed the La Grande Cash company warehouse owned by Lewis brothers, a Fowler and Coolidge warehouse, and a Lewis hay and feed barn. Losses are estimated at 216000 with potential to rise after complete inventory. Standard Oil tanks narrowly escaped damage thanks to calm winds. water system and firefighters performed admirably.
