Weston threshing accident and local notes Aug 12

Earl Hays of Athena suffered fractures to the right arm when a threshing machine gear struck him while unloading on A. McIntyre's farm near Weston. Dr. J A Best treated the injury. Other items note Prof. W A McGee appointed Weston principal, Dr. W Courtney’s move, teachers’ exams, Milton’s harvest season, fruit shipping plans, and local residents visiting or traveling, with taxes due and Albert White recovering from a gunshot wound.

Burrows Rites Held After Seattle Yacht Tragedy

The body of Charles E. Burrows arrived in Walla Walla amid family grief after he drowned near Seattle on a private yacht.
