Mrs Fannie Arbogast pioneer resident died at home in Pendleton area after a long illness. She was 63, born January 25 1845 in Hancock County Newbe and moved to Oregon decades ago. Survived by husband H A Arbogast seven sons two daughters two sisters and one brother. Body to be taken to Ritter for burial near there.
A fire early today heavily damaged the Snyder rooming house at 819 South Malin Street. Mrs John Snyder and Miss Leopa Kreuger were evacuated, with firefighters aiding occupants upstairs. Neighboring rooms were saved by the department, while smoke and water caused further damage to the structure and contents. Insurance covered the property, with investigators assessing the blaze as it spread through the dwelling.
