Electric Road 5 Authorized for Oregon County Lines

Union Aug 6 The county court granted Eastern Oregon Development Company a franchise to build and operate electric railways in the county. Bumper crop yields reported in Ada Adams land area

James F. Simpson, foreman for Mayor T. A. Lieuallen, reports an 80 acre Ada Adams tract and an 80 acre Charlie Aussie allotment yielded about 420 dollars of No 1 wheat at 148 pounds per bushel across roughly 12 bushels per acre, with income around 31 dollars per acre. A similar wheat return came as a 4300 dollar draft for about 200 acres, after costs.
