A fatal premature blasting accident north of St Helens Oregon at a Columbia River quarry claims six lives. The only identified victim is Leroy Leim, 16. Other named deceased include Henry Lewis, 44, Leroy, Joseph Keelan, 19, George Hammer, 32, and Herman Rees, 20, with details continued on Page Eight.
London reports say Zeppelins attacked eastern English counties dropping bombs on civilian areas. At least six aircraft engaged, one believed destroyed while British air and anti aircraft guns attempted to hinder the raid. Observers saw Zeppelins descend offshore before vanishing.

Additional funds are allocated to buy 100 tons of wheat hay and wheat laade for stock feed.
