South Orange New Jersey April 27 President Taft refused to comment on Roosevelt’s attack at Worchester and said he would reply tonight in Philadelphia. He traveled with Secretary Hilles and Major Ronades to the Country club for Golf then to Trenton for a two hour stay. He plans to reach Washington Sunday morning and begin a second Massachusetts visit Sunday afternoon.

American suffragette blasts Holloway prison in London

Mise Allee Wright an American suffragette arrested in London for window smashing accuses Holloway prison management of silencing inmates. She says during two months there she could not contact outsiders or write to her mother and had a letter held until release on Thursday. She notes others mistake climbing ladders by leaping conclusions.

In New Rochelle on April 27 Justice Martin Keogh said he would decide by May 6 on Harry J. Thaw’s bid for freedom from Matteawan asylum. Thaw, accompanied by his mother and sister and Pittsburgh detective Roger O Mara, expressed confidence he can prove his sanity. He has aged and his hair is now gray since the Stanford White murder.

Titanic Victims to Arrive in Halifax Monday Night

Halifax reports that 189 bodies from the Titanic disaster will reach the port Monday night aboard the coffin ship Machkas-Bennett. Among the deceased are Colonel John Jacob Astor Isidor Straus and other prominent New Yorkers and Philadelphians whose remains will be rushed to New York.
