Ingersoll Identifies McNamara as Bryce in Jail Visit

Los Angeles April 27 Mrs Inger soll of San Francisco identified James McNamara as J B Bryce during a ten minute jail visit with District Attorney Fredericks. The event followed McNamara and two co suspects under triple guard spending a restless night at the Los Angeles detention facility. Detective Burns in Indianapolis promised a public reveal on the dynamiting case and asserted he could connect suspects to dynamiting in many states while labor unions pledged large sums for defense.

West Court Street to gain sidewalks and crosswalks

West Court Street will be improved with sidewalks and crosswalks on both sides from Calvin street to Ash street, despite protests from property owners. The senate investigating committee ordered the arrest of Edward Tilden, president of the National Packing company, for refusing to testify about the $100,000 slush fund behind Lorimer's election. Lieutenant Governor Oglesby was directed to issue writs for contempt against George Benedict, head of the Drovers' Trust & Savings company, for withholding Tilden's financial records. Tilden's lawyers will seek habeas corpus to block the arrest.

Washington April 27 A resolution introduced by Congressman Berger proposes abolishing the Senate and placing all its duties with the House.
