Partnership Broke Up Over Placer Mines Sale Dispute
The plaintiffs claim a partnership formed to sell placer mines in Baker County known as the Underwood split after a $2000 commission from a sale to J. G. Stine. They allege the agreement allowed sharing only above $120,000 and that dissolution occurred when a sale date passed. Sharpstein Sharpstein & Lowell for plaintiffs. Defendant’s counsel argues no commission clause and mutual dissolution. Quick verdict favored the defendant in a separate case about a note for stock deemed worthless. Obituary note thanks for sympathy following a death in the Jamies family.
