Circuit Judge issues a temporary injunction dissolving the Master Plumbers Association and forcing sale of independent plumbers supplies. Large firms Crane and Rumsey and Western Attiss Manufacturing Company figure among the members restraining independent buyers who claim non-membership barred them from purchasing supplies.
Massachusetts State Board of Arbitration on the second day urged mill owners to justify why they cannot raise wages amid higher costs elsewhere. Mill operators argued tighter profits and higher goods costs limit increases, while offering to raise wages if profits can be shown to rise. John Mitchell is expected to arrive next week to lend friendly arbitration to both sides.
Amsterdam reports the strike committee decided to end the strike at noon today with no demonstrations. In Washington the Attorney General Knox received many congratulations on the outcome of the case, and it is believed the appeal will be decided soon with the lower court sustained.

Norfolk April 10. Alexander Spencer, a colored man aged about 18, was hanged ten days ago at Houston Virginia as good Friday services were held in a nearby church. He confessed to the murder and assault of an elderly white woman who had reared him as an infant.
Fire this morning in the Erie Basin damaged a portion of Lipton's Shamrock II boat shed. The Lipton challenger from two years ago was in the shed and the yacht itself escaped injury while the shed suffered destruction of part of its structure.
In Chicago on April 10 a raid on a saloon by twenty policemen led by a police lieutenant encountered thirteen armed Italians entrenched behind trap doors. The clash wounded the lieutenant and three Italians while police disarmed the others. One Italian suspect died from seven knife wounds and a bullet. Rear Admiral Higginson reports the cause unknown. Admiral O Neil orders an independent inquiry. The gun, fired 126 times since January 11, was considered sound.
