French Armies Hold Despite German Attacks Near Amiens

Car overturn on Wild Horse kills Mrs Lowthian

Mrs. J. T. Lowthian of 608 Market Street died instantly when the car she rode in overturned on Wild Horse road near the Judge Fee place five miles from Pendleton. Her husband, an electrician by trade, was severely bruised but not fatally injured. They moved to Pendleton from Portland about two years ago. Mr Lowthian, about 40, was hospitalized. Funeral arrangements await relatives’ arrival.
