Escaped French, Wins Echo Bride

Otto Harry Thoms of Echo, farmer and returned soldier, married Ivy Edith Mary Lee of Echo in Pendleton with Justice of the Peace Joe H Parkes officiating. Thoms, a member of the 908th Infantry in the 77th division, helped in a rescue of the Lost Battalion during war. he arrived two weeks ago with a gold chevron on each arm. The couple will live on their farm in Echo.

Ackley Held on Suspicion in Sheep Money Theft

J H Ackley an 18 year old described as a nanibrolled youth is held by police on suspicion of taking money from a sleeping sheepman’s pot. In a separate case Sidney A. Rarnex obtained a decree of divorce from Fidith Man Barnet, custody of their minor Eleanor, and $15 monthly child support.
