The first inspection of the military company will occur during the drill period tomorrow morning under Hal’s direction. Members will be judged on appearance and any untidy behavior will be reprimanded. After the inspection, competitive drill will follow between squads.

Mrs Fannie Myrick aged 65 died suddenly of heart disease this morning after returning from a business trip to Portland Astoria and Warrenton. She and her husband the late John W Myrick made their home in Pendleton for seven years after a 960 acre Myrick station ranch era. Survived by children Olive Lee Hermiston Effie Gerde Portland Viola Savage John Harrison Myrick Clarence Myrick all Pendleton and Mabel Waring Walla Walla. Clarence left yesterday with stock for Idaho to locate.

Lenin recently proposed to the peace conference that recognition would come only after peace is made, allowing end to hostilities in Russia and lifting the sea blockade to permit food and materials, then they would prove themselves worthy of recognition.
