J G Hart Father of Mrs G W Phelps Dies in La Grande

John C Mart veteran railroad man died this morning at his La Grande home after a period of ill health. The body will be sent to Pendleton for funeral at the Episcopal church Wednesday with time to be announced. He was 84 and had long served with the O W R N and had worked in Texas and Kansas before settling in the Northwest. He leaves five daughters and a son, including Mrs G W Phelps of Pendleton and Mrs Frank Reetlin of La Grande.
