Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Oenen and daughters Anna, Cornelia and Elsie visited at the Dirk Goema at home Sunday evening. Snake Sanders Arrested In Bootlegging Case In Knoxville
Snake Sanders was arrested Saturday night by Traffic Officer John Neumann in Knoxville on bootlegging charges. Neumann saw Sanders between two cars as he ran up an alley and fired twice into the air. Sanders broke a bottle, discarded another, and investigators found a four ounce bottle of alleged alcohol in the J. J. Roberts garden. A preliminary hearing was set for Tuesday evening with Sanders held to the grand jury on a thousand dollar bond.
