Mr and Mrs Herman Nollen returned from a three week trip visiting major western parks and relatives in California Arizona Missouri and Illinois. Obituary for Jacob De Geus of Iowa and California connections
Jacob De Geus born November 21, 1876 near Pella Iowa to Cornelius and Nel lie Van Vliet De Geus lived in Pella and Eddyville, married Bertha Werner November 2 1916, then moved to Colorado before returning to Iowa near Lacey. He died in March 1934 after living in Oskaloosa the last seven years. Survived by sons Anton De Geus Santa Maria and Lewis De Geus Granadam California, daughter Lillian Marie Ellis Galveston Texas, brothers Nick Eddyville Neal Pella, sisters Mary Van Rees Oskaloosa Gertie De Jong Sarah Gosselink, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral held August at Sartane Chapel in Oskaloosa.
