Approximately 100 guests attended a bridal shower for Miss Phyllis Ahnen held August 18 in the Avondale Church basement Orient Iowa. The program Autum Leaves featured poetry readings with gifts opened as readings proceeded. Ronald Zwank served as escort and groomsman. flowers, music, and ribbons highlighted the event with several local families and wedding guests noted, including attendance at related weddings and family gatherings across the Sandridge area.
