Bob Menning enters the race for the Pella Community School District board vacancy left by J. G. Boat. He has chaired the City Recreation Commission six years, refereed high school basketball and football for 18 years, and now serves as Director of Volunteers at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville. A World War II veteran, he belongs to the American Legion and Second Reformed church, is a 1940s graduate of Pella High School and Central College. Funeral arrangements for Mr Gosse link were handled by Van Dyck Duven, with grandsons as casket bearers.

Otis Clark rites set for Thursday
Mr Otis Clark of Knoxville died Tuesday afternoon at the De Jong nursing home at the age of 91. Funeral services will be held Thursday September 10 at 2 00 p m in the Eden church four miles west of Knoxville. Survived by a son Kenneth an attorney in Chicago and a grandson. Preceded in death by wife Jennie Ver Ploeg Clark and a son G T Clark.
