Narrow Escape From Chicago Train Collision After Holland Vacation
Mr Y T Van Niewaal received Rev B F Brinkman letter describing a near fatal rail crossing accident near Chicago Aug 27. Brinkman, his son Gerald, and Mrs Brinkman survived while Mr Rutger and Mrs Rutgers suffered injuries. The rear car was struck as express train approached. Mrs Brinkman narrowly escaped as her sister Mrs Rutgers sustained serious injuries.
