Two Great Movies Enjoyed By Sportsmen at Legion's Party
About one hundred men at the Legion Hall attended a Monday evening event hosted by the Legion Post to gauge interest in forming a Walton Chapter. Guest speaker Ries Tuttle of the Des Moines Register and Tribune presented a color film from Africa featuring over forty wildlife species, followed by Murray Russell and Doyle Le Coca discussing the Izaak Walton League. A fishing film by Ries Tuttle showcased northern Saskatchewan lakes, with catches of northern pike and the Grayling, all released back to the water. A show of hands indicated initial interest, with around twenty-five names collected for possible chapter formation, signaling potential future consolidation of conservation efforts in the area.
