1964 TV debate between Kyl and Bandstra on Medicare and civil rights

Mary Ver Meer Crowned Iowa Dairy Princess in Des Moines

Mary Ver Meer of Pella, 1963 Tulip Queen and Central College student, was crowned Iowa Dairy Princess at the Iowa Dairy Conference coronation in the Savery Hotel Des Moines last Thursday night. The event included photos by the Chronicle photographer and awarded her a $300 scholarship and a $200 wardrobe allowance. The lineup featured past princesses Deanna Powell Judy Steinsrud and Linda Lyon alongside finalists and escorts.
