Shut-ins Notes Include Local Admits and Dismissals

Terry De Cook, son of Mr and Mrs Robert L De Cook of Leighton, was admitted to Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa two weeks ago Friday and transferred to Blank Memorial Hospital in Des Moines the same day. He was dismissed last Monday after treatment for a virus infection. Mrs Walter Renaud of Sully was hospitalized in Oskaloosa on Tuesday and dismissed on Friday. Norman Schuring of Sully was admitted on Wednesday and Thomas Van Ekeren was admitted.

Dr Herman Ridder Hosts Central College Retreat at Camp Wesley Woods

Dr Herman Ridder president of Western Theological Seminary spoke at a fall retreat for about 30 Central College faculty and students at Camp Wesley Woods on Oct 23 and 24. His topics explored the relationship with the world in talks titled Where in the World What in the World and How in the World. The event was directed by Rev Arthur Tie Jong with student co chairs Jean Fleming and Donald Hoekstra.
