Legion Shows Great Picture at Pella High School

The American Legion screened the war film America’s Answer at the Pella High School auditorium to a capacity crowd, with German and Allied war footage. The program opened with German depictions of Belgium and northern France, followed by captured German naval scenes featuring U-35, and concluded with American troop movements and battle action. The 168th Infantry’s role, including Iowa guardsmen, was highlighted. A faulty projector spoiled the last half hour Friday, prompting editorial jeers at the venue preference for schools over theatres.
