Harvest Festival in Pella Draws Crowds and Praise
The Pella Chamber of Commerce and volunteers staged a vibrant Harvest Festival attracting visitors from near and far. A new pit donated by Van Gorp Manufacturing Co. let the crew roast nine hogs, three more than last year, though some crowds were kept waiting as the park sold out. The city also advances downtown beautification and enforces a new sign ordinance, met with no merchant objections.
