Lengths of numerous mutual telephone lines in Iowa townships
By order of the Board of Supervisors Auditor Don Smith telegrammed a detailed ledger of telephone company lengths. The table lists the lengths by township and by school district for many providers including Monroe, Otley, Plymouth, Reeves Bros, Star Mutual, Sully, Union, Valley Mutual, Victor, West Pella, Wheeling, Willow Grove, Attica, Zion and others. It shows totals per company and per district, reflecting extensive network reach across Polk, Jefferson, and surrounding counties.
