WIRING ON FARMS Continued warnings urge rewiring
Iowa farms show monthly electricity use from 500 to 1000 kilowatt hours with some reaching 2000. Warning signals include lights dimming when appliances start and fluorescent lights going out. Slower heating and weaker motor performance suggest wiring is inadequate and from transformer to equipment lines may be too long or too small. Beaty urges rewiring as a remedy.
