The Chronicle lists visits and gatherings of residents and visitors in Pella Iowa and nearby towns. Families such as Wallace Kaldenberg Vermeer Sjaardema Grand and many others are noted hosting and traveling to weddings, funerals, and tours in Iowa Illinois Minnesota North Carolina Colorado Michigan and Nebraska with relatives friends and colleagues.
Registration for Bible classes in Lincoln grade school reaches 100 percent with 190 students in grades one through six. Webster building shows 94 percent in the same grades, with a few late arrivals. Junior High has 33 registered. Lincoln classes meet Wednesday, Webster on Monday and Tuesday. Marion County WCTU convention set for Tuesday October 22 at First Reformed Church, noon pot luck meal.
The Ladies Auxiliary of Pellas Christian High will sponsor a rally at Christian High School Friday evening October 18 at 7 30 p m Rev J Wesseling new pastor of Sally Christian Ref Church will speak on Church and School Responsibility and Challenge Special music from the school band and choir under Miss Folkerts direction A lunch will be sold after the program to benefit the school Donations of buns and cakes are welcome
Worship services begin 9:30 a.m. with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. The Lord's Supper is observed, followed by a Gospel service at 7:80 p.m. James White of Des Moines will attend all day. There will be a Tuesday prayer and Bible study at 7:45 p.m.
