Early Purchase Advisories Amid Bromegrass Seed Shortage
Prospects for adequate bromegrass seed supplies across the United States look grim this fall says M L Peterson an agronomist from Iowa State College. Although Iowa seed crop rose vs last year shortages already impact the state with nebraska and national crops well below previous years. Farmers who secured seed are urged to act quickly for fall sowing while those planning spring seeding should seek seed promptly. Northern brome grass reseeding with legumes may outyield southern types under dry western conditions.
