The Pella Community High School now has an auditorium rivaling its athletic facilities in quality. The space offers clear acoustics for bands and theater, ample seating, and can host large events, with rental at $60 per hour for the first hour. The project earned district voter approval and benefits both the school and city.
In Pella the November 8 city election features only one contest for the council at large. Mark A. De Jong Marion Pete Horman and Howard Anderson seek the seat vacated by Dick Van Zante. Incumbents Reuben Van Hemert and Bob Van Hemert are unopposed.
Ten years ago this week T and D Department Store held a grand opening after remodeling and enlarging its Lynnville Sully area store. Glen De Zwarte named member of the month by Lynnville Sully FFA chapter. Construction of a Roberts Creek swimming beach underway.
