Permanent stage added to CUI auditorium for Tulip Time
CHAPEL HAS been removed and moved as per permanent seats into the foyer. It is three feet high, one step lower than the old stage. It is 11 feet by 16 feet. From each side of this new stage permanent steps lead down to the floor of the auditorium. The actual building of this permanent stage was done by Ding Van Vark. The floor is pine with oak sides and decorative steel grill work. It took over three weeks to complete. The stage fills a long felt need for a larger two level stage for the CUI auditorium and will aid college activities and Tulip Time operetta productions.
