September wedding in Pella features Zylstra family ties
The September 1955 wedding united the Zylstra family with the bride in taupe and pink, the bridegroom’s mother in gray, and both mothers in pink corsages. Attendees from Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan and California gathered for a church ceremony, reception, and a large family reunion on nearby grounds. The bride and groom, Pel la Christian High School alum and Colfax High School graduate, planned a two week honeymoon to Wisconsin and Minnesota before returning to farm near Colfax.
