How Many Survive Cancer
How many survive cancer. One in three who have the disease. In the 1900s few cancer patients could look for a cure. Twenty five years ago fewer than one in five alive without the disease. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment could raise survival to one in two. Annual checkups could save 88000 persons each year who die from late discovery. A biopsy is a tissue sample examined by a pathologist to determine cancer presence.
