Ezra Temple and Family in 1890 Garfield Iowa Photo
This column thanks Thelma McDonalds of Mystic Iowa for a photo of Ezra Temple and his family circa 1890 when Ezra was 23. The family lived on a 40 acre Garfield farm six miles west of Mystic, milking goats and producing dairy. Ezra, born May 3 1867, married Adelaide Peppers in May 1887 and had seven children, most of whom survived into adulthood. He later moved to Nebraska and served as a tramp preacher before his return offer was rejected by his children.
