The South Central Mental Health Center reported during its November 11 board meeting that October featured five talks to organizations about mental health and services. Dr. Loren Allaman spoke to the Osteopathic Staff of Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa. Kenneth McCullough addressed Grant Elementary School PTA in Oskaloosa. Robert B. Ross spoke to the Mothers Group of St. Mary's School in Albia, Medical Assistants in Oskaloosa, and the Social Work Staff at Veterans Hospital in Knoxville. Keokuk, Mahaska, Marion, and Monroe school guidance counselors met at the Center with McCullough and Ross for their monthly session. The Center also noted a record high of 41 cases.
