15 Acre Exemption Ends for Wheat Growers
The 15 acre marketing quota exemption for wheat is no longer in effect under the 1962 wheat stabilization program. Farms with no 1962 allotment and no wheat harvested in 1959 60 or 61 face marketing quota penalties on all harvested wheat. The exemption now equals the smaller of 18.5 acres or the farm’s highest harvest in 1959 60 61. If harvest stays within allotment, no quota penalty applies.
