How to Prevent Waste of Bread in Daily Life
Department of Agriculture offers ways to cut bread waste. Store loaves in moisture proof wrapping in the fridge or in a cool ventilated box. Slice bread at table, serve only one slice per person, and use dry bread creatively in toast and desserts. Turn odds and ends into crumbs for frying, stuffing, or toppings. Buy flour as needed and keep dry to avoid weevils. Feed hungry people, not weevils.
