Detroit Vapor Gas Stoves and a Rural Iowa Funeral
A Detroit Vapor Gas Stoves notice notes early April plans for a visit to relatives in Birmingham and Bentonsport Iowa. The narrative shifts to the death of Mrs. Huber of Winchester Iowa after a fall at a church event on April 26. It recalls her long life from Van Buren County born May 1 1839, marriage in 1862, move to Pella 1864, church membership since 1870, and survival by husband and daughter Lucy with extensive family attendance at the funeral in Stockport Iowa.
