Hot Water shines in Harold Lloyd comedy at Alamo
Harold Lloyd’s new independent film Hot Water finished in five months at Hollywood studios and now playing at the Alamo theater. The wholesome comedy features Lloyd with a top supporting cast and offers human, broad humor. Directors Sam Taylor and Fred Newmeyer adapt a story by Taylor Whelan Grey and Gray for a fall showcase.

College Notes Glee Club celebrates Loyde Hillyer honors
Loyde Hillyer funded a club treat and the Glee Club enjoyed a gathering in his honor on Wednesday evening. The group viewed trip snapshots and praised Loyde as a three year pianist and now a composer on the program. Three other married members join the list as the club looks forward to future treats. The Senior Class Play The Octaroon will be shown Monday night June first with 28 cast members portraying life in lower Louisiana. Prof Heemstra preached at the First Church and the Sunday school attendance set a yearly record of 594. The Juniors will entertain the Seniors Saturday evening.
